Effect of Tongxinluo (TXL) on expression of MCP-1 and ICAM-1 mRNAs in rat carotid artery 14 days after balloon injury. After the artery injury rats were treated without (control) or with lowdose Tongxinluo (TXL-L) or high-dose Tongxinluo (TXL-H). At day 14 after balloon injury, total RNA was extracted and mRNA expression was evaluated by RT-PCR assay. Ratio of mRNA to 18S rRNA was evaluated.
