Secretory immunoglobulin A (sIgA) and cortisol secretion at baseline (before any specific stress or training). Measurements were taken three times: before any training, following 2 weeks of training, and following 4 weeks of training. After 4 weeks of training, there is significantly reduced cortisol (stress) and increased immune response (sIgA) at baseline (see Ref. 14).
