Ten week old LDLR−/− mice were fed ad libitum High Fat High Cholesterol containing Western type diet (TD 88137) for 16 weeks with or without supplementation with amoxicillin in drinking water. Panel A: Intraperitoneal glucose tolerance tests were performed as described under Methods. Blood glucose levels at indicated times are shown (Mean ± SEM, n = 6). Panel B: Aortas were isolated at the time of necropsy, cleaned of any adventitious tissue and imaged on a black background for en face analyses. Representative images are shown.
