The DAT Val559 allele is significantly under-represented in the total population of post-weaning mice (P < 0.01, χ2 test), driven primarily by a reduction in male mice possessing the DAT Val559 allele (P = 0.001, χ2 test). Males were obtained from 446 litters, females were obtained from 367 litters.
