Induction of p53 target genes in AKI is suppressed in PT-p53-KO mice. Wild-type and PT-p53-KO littermate mice were subjected to 28 minutes of bilateral renal ischemia followed by 2 days of reperfusion or injected with 30 mg/kg cisplatin for 3 days. Control mice were subjected to sham operation or injected with saline. The lysate of kidney cortex and outer medulla was collected for immunoblot analysis of p53, p-p53 (ser15), p21, PUMA-α, Bax, Siva, and Cyclophilin B by using specific antibodies.
