Illustrates a proposed model underlying the mechanisms of growth inhibition by flavonoids. Based on both our current and published data, we hypothesize that flavonoids activate RB by inhibiting CDK2/4 and by inducing BRM expression via the inhibition of the MAP kinase pathway. Consequently, following treatment with flavonoids, hypophosphorylated RB and BRM bind together to facilitate growth inhibition.
