PLpros inhibit the ISG15-mediated antiviral effect in IFNAR^−/− mice. Seven- to 8-week-old male IFNAR^−/− mice were injected in the footpad with the WT (SWT or MWT) or MT (SMT or MMT) SIP viruses at 6 × 10⁶ PFU and monitored for weight loss. The data are pooled from three independent experiments. The numbers of mice per group are indicated in parentheses.
