Viral titers were determined in the organs of EV71-infected WT and TLR9KO mice. Seven-day-old WT and TLR9KO mice were infected via i.p. injection of EV71 at 107 PFU. At 3, 7, and 11 days postinfection; the mice were euthanized, and viral titers in the brain (A), intestine (B), lung (C), forelimb (D), and hind limb (E) were determined by plaque assay. The results are expressed as PFU per gram of tissue. The horizontal line indicates the mean of each group.
