Table 1.

Parameters for simulated decay curves (Eq. [1]) where sj is the weight of the exponential component associated with T2,j, NE is the total number of echoes, and Δt is the inter-echo spacing. In vivo: Biexponential decay curves were generated using the mean component values listed in Table 2 (Components I and II) and the same echo sampling parameters used for in vivo measurements. Ex vivo: Triexponential decay curves were generated using the mean component values listed in Table 3 (Components I, I, and III) and the same echo sampling parameters used for ex vivo measurements.
