Resonance frequency as a function of the cytoplasmic/nuclear radius, solid-phase bulk modulus and porosity. The sensitivity parameter S is shown for each of the six properties. As expected, the resonance frequency decreases when the cell or nuclear radius increases and exhibits a positive linear relationship with both solid-phase bulk modulus and porosity. In all cases, the resonance frequency lies between 4 and 6 MHz, the exception being cells with outer radii less than 5 μm.
