The parameters used to fit the exponential distribution vs. the cluster population. This linear trend further reinforces our contention in our belief that the CDF representing the number of times a transcription factor is present amongst a set of genes is governed only by the length of sequence analyzed. Note that in both the cases, the parameters show a good linear fit. This suggests that phylogenetic footprinting in the Rat/human case has not selected for sequences in the promoter region that show a greater number of correct promoter regions.
