(A) The design of the stimulus presentation and the corresponding judgment given by the computer were equal for both groups. There were three types of stimulus; the judgments for probes and irrelevants were predetermined to be equally likely positive or negative, whereas the judgments to the targets were dependent upon whether the participants responded correctly. (B) The presentations of the stimuli of one trial, taking a probe followed by a positive judgment as an example.
