Lipocalin‐2 treatment in combination with linoleic acid (LA) promotes the elevation of blood pressure. Wild‐type (WT) mice (6 weeks old, standard chow) were implanted with the telemetry transmitter as described in Materials and Methods, and allowed 2 weeks of recovery from the surgery. Blood pressure was monitored after injection with vehicle, hlipocalin‐2, linoleic acid (LA), or hlipocalin‐2 in combination with LA. The results show that, at 5 hours after injection, systolic, diastolic, and mean arterial pressures were significantly increased in mice treated with hlipocalin‐2 in combination with LA. *P<0.05 versus other treatments; n=3 in all groups.
