GRA15II-induced CD40 expression following NF-κB inhibition. BMdMs were cultured in macrophage medium (untreated) or medium supplemented with DMSO or the IKK inhibitor PS1145 (10 μM). After 24 h, the cells were mock infected or infected with type I GRA15II T. gondii in untreated macrophage medium. At 1 hpi, the cells were washed and the medium was replaced with fresh macrophage medium or macrophage medium supplemented with DMSO or PS1145. The cells were harvested at 18 hpi and stained with control Ig (A) or anti-CD40 monoclonal antibodies (B). The histograms shown are representative of those from at least two independent experiments.
