The indicated amounts of toxin or synthetic peptide were added in a total volume of 150 µL. Cytolysis was determined by the release of lactate dehydrogenase to the medium, 3 h after exposure of the cells to the toxins. Each bar represents mean ± SD of triplicate cell cultures. Statistically significant differences (p<0.05) between two groups are indicated by dotted arrow lines.
