Effect of incision and/or stress on GluA1 phosphorylation at Ser831 and Ser845 sites in the spinal cord. A, Plantar incision increased GluA1 Ser831 phosphorylation, but not Ser845 phosphorylation; social defeat stress increased GluA1 phosphorylation at both the Ser831 and Ser845 sites; incision plus stress further enhanced incision-induced GluA1 Ser831 phosphorylation. However, neither incision/stress alone nor incision plus stress changed the expression of total GluA1 in the spinal cord.
