Coating the surface with BSA leads to longer trapping events. However, moving time is also increased on a BSA-coated surface (inset). (Solid and dashed lines) Results of two-dimensional simulations of the model. For the trapping time, the model gives a very good match and accounts properly for different coatings of the surface. Although the simulations also reproduce the average value of moving times, the shape of the distribution deviates from the simulated curve for longer times.
