NER-dependent ssDNA formation in quiescent human cells. A, G₀-arrested TIG-120 or XP2BI cells were irradiated with 40 J/m² of UV and incubated for 4 h in the absence or presence of 100 μm Ara-C. After treatment with 0.5% Triton X-100, cells were fixed with methanol/acetone and stained with anti-ssDNA antibody and DAPI. B, G₀-arrested TIG-120 cells were locally irradiated with 40 J/m² of UV through an isopore membrane filter (pore size, 8 μm) and incubated for 4 h in the presence of Ara-C.
