Seven States (District of Columbia, Indiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Ohio) are excluded because of missing rate data. Alaska is excluded from yearly regression analyses, hence this analysis, based on its disproportionate influence, as judged by Cook's D.
