Each enzyme sample was mixed with an equal amount of Cel6A or Cel7A (total 50 μg protein) and Avicel hydrolysis was measured after two hours at 45°C. Synergism was calculated based on the amount of reducing sugars in the reaction mixture relative to the amount produced by 50 μg of Cel6A or Cel7A.
