(A) Pro-inflammatory (IL-1b, IL-6, IL-12b, TNF, Csf2) and anti-inflammatory (IL-10) cytokines; (B) Chemokines Ccl2, Ccl4, Cxcl1 and Cxcl2 mRNA expression were detected by Real-Time RT-PCR. Shown are vehicle (white bars), BSCI-treated (thatched bars), LPS-injected (black bars) and LPS-injected BSCI-treated samples (grey bars), n = 5–6/group. Two-way anova was utilized followed by Bonferroni posttests. Results were expressed as mean ± SEM. Significant difference with vehicle is indicated by * (P < 0.05), ** (P < 0.01) and *** (P < 0.001).
