U0126 administration reversed the analgesic effect of acupuncture needling on the CFA-induced mechanical threshold. The GB34 acupuncture point was stimulated by acupuncture 15 minutes after U0126 administration. Von Frey filaments exerting .6 g of force were applied a total of 10 times to the plantar surface of the right (ipsilateral, A) and left (contralateral, B) hind paw every 10 minutes. The frequency of positive responses was calculated. Before the CFA injection, the mechanical threshold of the baseline was assessed (Base). Four days after CFA injection, the mechanical threshold was assessed before acupuncture needling (Before). Von Frey filaments were applied 10, 20, and 30 minutes after acupuncture needling (***P < .001, compared to the CON group; ###P < .001, compared to the CFA group; §P < .05, §§§P < .001, compared to the ACU group. Two-way ANOVA was followed by the Bonferroni test, each n = 8). Error bars indicate SEM.
