(B) Immunodetection of BrdU-labeled DNAs separated under alkaline conditions. DNAs were prepared from ULP1⁺ (YLVE4; lanes 1 and 3) and ulp1-I615N (MH1367; lane 2 and 4) cells. Lanes 1 and 2, DNAs extracted after one generation with BrdU; lanes 3 and 4, DNAs extracted after one generation with BrdU followed by one generation of chasing. DNAs were revealed by using an anti-BrdU antibody.
