Note. Demographic information for the DSH group (“DSH”) and depression control group (“Depression Controls”). Education was measured with a scale (1-7) which represents <7th grade (1) to graduate training (7). Income was measured with a scale (1-12) which represents ≤$10,000/year (1) to ≥$200,000/year (12). Intelligence was measured with the vocabulary subscale of the Shipley Institute of Living Scale (0-40; Zachary et al., 1985). Depression was measured with the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI; 0-63; Beck, Steer, & Garbin 1988). Anxiety was measured with the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI; 0-63; Fydrich et al., 1992).
