Our current study establish that (1) Tpz1-Ccq1 interaction is essential for Ccq1 Thr93 phosphorylation and telomerase recruitment, (2) Tpz1-Poz1 interaction promotes efficient accumulation of Poz1 to inhibit Ccq1 Thr93 phosphorylation and telomerase recruitment, and (3) Tpz1-Ccq1 and Tpz1-Poz1 interactions are redundantly required for protection against telomere fusions.
