Minimum inhibitory concentrations (μg/mL) of isoniazid (INH) nanocomposites compared to INH alone against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

Notes: Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of INH nanocomposites compared to INH alone against Mycobacterium tuberculosis as determined by use of a Mycobacteria growth indicator tube with BACTEC MGIT 960 growth supplement for drug susceptibility testing and measured by the MGIT 960 instrument (Becton Dickinson Diagnostic Systems, Sparks, MD, USA). Results were analyzed using Student’s t-test (unpaired, two-tailed) INH-nanocomposite A against INH, P=0.021, *P<0.05; INH-nanocomposite A against Mg AL LDH, P<0.0001, **P<0.0001; INH-nanocomposite B against INH, =0.019, #P<0.05; INH-nanocomposite B against Mg AL LDH, P=0.0001, ##P<0.0001.

Abbreviation: LDH, layered double hydroxide.
