Effect of puerarin on Schwann cell apoptosis following treatment with high glucose (HG).

(A) Apoptosis was confirmed by TUNEL with 3,3’-diaminobenzidine (× 100). Representative photomicrographs of TUNEL in Schwann cells are shown (black-brown signal).

(B) Quantitative analysis. At least 500 cells from each group were examined in a blinded manner. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM of each group of cells from three separate experiments. ^aP < 0.01, vs. control (con); ^bP < 0.01, vs. HG.
