YEF1228 carrying GPI17:HA-TRP1 was constructed through a PCR-based method (Longtine et al., 1998). The resulting strain was transformed with pRS315-GAB1-C-GST and YEp351-GAB1-C-GST, respectively. Transformants were streaked out onto an SC-Leu+5-fluoroorotic acid plate to cure them of the URA3-containing plasmid, generating strains YEF3734 and YEF3735, respectively
