Spearman's correlation was used to evaluate concordance between mRNA and protein abundances as determined by qPCR (mean C_q of technical replicates) and western blot (log₂ of the protein intensity). Note that an increasing mRNA abundance results in a lower C_q; hence an inverse correlation indicates similarity between molecule abundance.
