Exploratory behaviour was quantified in individual fish using the Novel Tank Diving Test after 28 days of exposure. The dose-response of behavioural endpoints appears to be visually more obvious when median values are used (in this figure) instead of mean values (Figure 4). This highlights the important role of inter-individual variability in the interpretation of behavioural effects.
