(A) L. major promastigotes were inoculated at 1.0×105 cells/ml and culture densities were measured every 24 hours. After entering stationary phase (72 hours post inoculation, marked by the arrow in A), percentages of dead cells (B), metacyclics (C) and round cells (D) were determined daily.
