TABLE 2.

Fast time scale dynamics for AlkB-ΔN11 with Zn(II), 2OG, and 5′-CAmAAT-3′

η and δ (Equation 3) were determined using the 1H-1H CCR experiment (52). As discussed in the text, increasing values of η indicate a reduction of motion on the picosecond to nanosecond time scale. Relaxation of the 1H methyl signal by remote 1H spins is measured by δ, in which more negative values indicate increasing relaxation. Saturating concentrations of each titrant were added in succession to the previous complex; thus, 2OG indicates AlkB-ΔN11 in the presence of both Zn(II) and 2OG.
