BLCC shows greater maximum tensile load compared with Fibroblast matrix or Epithelium only. Tensile strength is imparted by the properly formed corneal layer, which was present in BLCC but not Fibroblast matrix or Epithelium only constructs. BLCC supported significantly greater maximum tensile load than Fibroblast matrix or Epithelium only constructs. *Indicates different from BLCC (p < 0.05, ANOVA).
