Methods Methods of randomisation and allocation concealment were not described
Participants 50 patients scheduled for aorto-iliac graft surgery were randomly allocated to one of two groups
  1. Desmopressin (DDAVP) group: n = 25; M/F = 19/6.

  2. Placebo group: n = 25; M/F = 18/7.

NB: Age data were not reported.
Interventions
  1. DDAVP group received 0.3 ug/kg of DDAVP diluted in physiological saline to a volume of 10 ml and injected intravenously over 10 minutes immediately before the start of the operation.

NB: Both groups received 500 ml of dextran 40 (Rheomacrodex) as thromboprophylaxis
