Siliques were marked consecutively starting from 3 DAP, and the samples from days 3 to 6 were used for observation. For the siliques from the same line and at the same marking time, ovules in each silique were cleared and the embryos were counted at each stage, then the total and average of each stage embryo number were calculated and rounded to the whole number. Therefore, the number of each sample displays the embryo distribution of a whole silique.
