Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining of brain tissue sections of rat models of cerebral ischemia. (A) Center of the infarction area in group C, which did not receive transplantation following ischemia/reperfusion (magnification, ×400). Staining was lighter in the infarction area compared with that in normal brain tissue due to the presence of vacuolation and mesenchymal edema (indicated by yellow arrow).
