PSII-driven ETR and ETR of isolated PSII were measured by oxygen evolution (H₂O to phenyl-p-benzoquinone), and whole chain ETR (H₂O to methyl viologen), PSI-driven ETR and ETR of isolated PSI (sodium ascorbate and 2,6-dichlorophenol-indophenol to methyl viologen) were measured by oxygen consumption.
