Histology: Images of H&E section of normoxic (a) vs. hyperoxic (b) lungs. After 48 hours of exposure, lungs show no evidence of neutrophilic infiltrates, pulmonary edema, or vascular smooth muscle thickening, which are characteristic of hyperoxic injury sustained after rat exposure for 60 hours or longer.
