Venn diagram comparison of proteins identified by LC-MS/MS in the control and metastatic BC samples following acetone and acetone/TCA precipitation. The two major precipitation techniques, acetone and acetone/TCA, were compared for the urine samples from healthy controls (A) and metastatic BC patients (B). The MS data (Table 2) for the protein extracts indicated that an increased number of proteins were identified in the acetone/TCA protein precipitates in both the controls (154) and BC samples (167), compared to 115 and 117, respectively. The overlap represents the proteins in common.
