Ganzfeld electroretinogram in animal E4 1 month after induction of bilateral pNAION (inductions performed sequentially, 4 weeks apart) followed 5 hours later by either a single IVT injection of 50 μL of vehicle or 50 μL of PGJ2 (total dose = 50 μg). Note that there are no abnormalities of the amplitudes of either the a-wave or the b-wave in either the vehicle-injected or the PGJ2-treated eye. Similar results were seen in the other four animals used for assessment of efficacy (E1, E2, E3, and E5), whether the injections were performed immediately or 5 hours after induction of pNAION.
