The anti-DENV activity of carrageenan was normalized and expressed as OCR(t = 7 hpi)/OCR(n), where OCR(t = 7 hpi) and OCR(n) denoted the OCR value of the infected cells at 7 hpi and the averaged OCR value of normal cells without viral infection and carrageenan treatment, respectively. The OCR(t = 7 hpi)/OCR(n) values of the infected BHK-21 cells without pre-treatment with carrageenan are denoted by a dashed line in Fig. 3(c).
