Overexpression of the CYP72A31 gene confers BS tolerance in Nipponbare. A, BS sensitivity in transformed calli overexpressing the CYP72A31 gene. Rice calli in the T0 generation were transferred to fresh medium containing 0.25 μm BS and cultivated for 14 d. Transgenic calli overexpressing the CYP72A31 gene grew vigorously, although control calli transformed with GFP-expressing vector ceased growth.
