The effect of melatonin on mineralized matrix formation by DP-805 cells. DP-805 cells were seeded in 6-well culture plates at a cell density of 1 × 105 cells/well. The cells were treated with various concentrations (0, 1, 10, 50, 100 and 200 µM) of melatonin for 28 days. The phase-contrast images showed that DP-805 cells cultured in the presence of 200 µM melatonin formed mineralized matrix (A); and The extracellular matrix mineralization was evaluated by Alizarin Red S staining (B).
