The functional polymer represented by a double-gyroid structure (red, blue networks) is simultaneously interacting with phonon (Ω) and photon (ω) waves while the material's interaction parameters (periodicity, dielectric constant, impedance, etc.) continuously respond to a broad range of physical and chemical stimuli, resulting in tunable photonic and phononic behavior.
