Adding a small amount of Sb (a) or Co (b) results in a destabilization of the Fe3Sn phase in favor of the Fe5Sn3 phase and a Fe-Sn alloy with approximate composition Fe0.96Sn0.04. Up to 15% Sb can be substituted for Sn in the Fe3Sn structure if part of the Fe is replaced by Mn. (c)
