Yeast were grown overnight in YPD and diluted to 107 cells per well in a 96 well plate. OD600 readings over 24 hours incubation at 37°C or 30°C indicate relative growth of wild type S. boulardii (WT S.b.), S. cerevisiae laboratory haploid (S.c. lab haploid), S. cerevisiae wild type haploid (S.c. WT haploid), and S. cerevisiae diploid (S.c. diploid). Lines represent the mean of duplicate experiments, with error bars depicting plus the standard error of the mean (SEM). Shading highlights growth of yeast strains relative to growth of W T S. boulardii at 37°C.
