Upregulation of CXCL12 decreases the invasive potential of breast cancer cells. A: Ad-cont and Ad-CXCL12 cells were plated (1×10⁴ cells per well) in Matrigel-coated transwell chambers. After 24 h, the invaded cells on the lower side of the chamber were fixed and stained with hematoxylin. B: The number of invaded cells was counted using an inverted light microscope. The data are the results of 3 independent experiments performed in triplicate. An average of 6 fields of cells was counted at 100×magnification. Representative images of the invasion assay are shown in the right panel. Data were analyzed using the Student’s t test. P < 0.01 was considered statistically significant.
