FGFR2 kinase domains harboring melanoma mutations have reduced tyrosine autophosphorylation activity. Wild-type FGFR2K and four mutant FGFR2Ks, each harboring E475K, D530N, I642V, or A648T single mutation, are subjected to in vitro kinase assays.
