Reintroduction of FGFR2 failed to suppress proliferation of SBcl2 or AO4 melanoma cells. A. Melanoma cell lines SBcl2 and AO4 were stably transduced with empty vector, FGFR2, or FGFR2 K517R lentivirus, and proliferation was assessed using the sulforhodamine B assay. Overexpression of FGFR2 or kinase-dead FGFR2 K517R had no effect on the proliferation of these melanoma cell lines. B. FGFR2 expression was confirmed by Western blot analysis.
