Modulation of plasma and hepatic apolipoprotein M (ApoM) level in streptozotocin-induced diabetes (STZ) mice. Fourteen-week-old STZ mice or control (Ctl) mice were analyzed after they were subjected to a 6-h fast (n = 5/each group). To investigate the effects of insulin (INS), we administered Humulin R at a dose of 0.75 IU/kg bodyweight; plasma samples were collected before and at 2 h after injection (n = 5).
